Happy Sunday and thanks in advance for spending a little time to read today’s blog. It’s been almost a year since I ordered this Spring Throw kit from the Knitting Network and one that I have really struggled with. Not for the pattern and stitches but with keeping stitch count, I don’t normally have issues with stitch count but this blanket was a completely different ball game. I put it down to some rows using the turning chain as a stitch and some rows not, so in the end I ignored the turning chain and never counted it as a stitch and I was fine after that. I’ve never liked using the turning chain as a stitch I just don’t like the way it looks, anyone else feel the same? Can’t just be me is it?
So after my third attempt at this throw in the last year here it is finally complete. I am so glad that I decided to pick it up and try again it is so beautiful and the colours really do scream spring and warmer times around the corner doesn’t it?
Hope you all like it and it makes you feel the same, in two minds on whether to keep it or not now, my plans where to sell it in my Etsy shop but not sure now lol. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and keep warm everyone.
Happy Sunday everyone hope you’re all well and safe and going to get out and enjoy this rare November sunshine here in the UK today. I certainly will be as soon as I’ve submitted this blog it will be a nice long walk in the woods for me and the schnauzers. What are your plans?
That’s it, it’s all complete, 6 weeks gone just like that but what a journey it’s been. The end result being this beautiful Christmas blanket that can be enjoyed year after year. The pictures are taken on a king sized bed so will easily cover a single bed to add that Christmas touch to any bedroom.
I say this every week but I truly mean this, thank you @The Wee House of Crochet, @The Crochet Sanctuary & @Lynda’s Craft room for such a wonderful design that’s kept my mind so very occupied during another lockdown alone. It has been the best therapy I could’ve asked for to help me through the end of this god awful year. I have so much yarn left over that I must make something to match or maybe some hats?
I have enjoyed every single stitch and sharing this journey with everyone each week. I am a little sad that it is over but I have plenty of other things on my ever growing list to do.
I know it’s early but Merry Christmas everyone, time to snuggle under it and hibernate. Thanks for sharing this journey with me and taking the time to read my blog each week the support is much appreciated.
